Your Home for Custom Built Poker Tables
Here at Chanman Poker Tables our goal is to provide you with the custom poker table you will look forward to own and use and that you can show off to your poker buddies. We consider our tables to be a piece of furniture rather than a temporary table to use for poker. Our tables are superior in looks and quality compared to the generic poker tables made with cheap materials which don't last long and have rough playing surfaces and rails. If you're tired of playing on flimsy foldout tables or poker tables with rails that are so low that they don't even stop cards from sliding off the table, then you've found the right place. If you're looking for a cheap eBay table, then these tables aren't for you.

How We Build Our Tables
|
We build our tables from sturdy 3/4" plywood for both the rail and the playing surface, never MDF or OSB particle board. This provides an ideal amount of sturdiness. Curved pieces are cut using precision tools with guides to ensure smooth lines and curves. The top edges of the rails are rounded over to add extra comfort when resting your arms on the rail in order to avoid feeling any sharp edges of the wood. Our tables are built to last; they're heavy duty. Even a basic table may require 2 people to carry when completed. |
Playing surface foam
We always use 1/4" thick, closed cell foam to cushion the playing surface of all our tables. We feel that this is one of the most important parts of a poker table. If you've ever played cards on an unpadded table surface, you know how difficult it is to pick up your cards unless you dig your fingernails under the cards to pick them up or have to slide the cards off the edge of the table. This padding makes it much easier to lift up your cards. It also allows chips to be dropped on the table without hearing the loud noise of the chips hitting wood as well as protects your valuable chips. We glue the foam to the table to keep it from moving under the playing cloth. We use closed cell foam so that if anything is ever spilled onto the table, that the liquids will not be absorbed by the foam ensuring that your table lasts the test of time.
Rail foam
We use 1" thick, 65lb extra firm and heavy duty foam for our rail padding. This is the minimum firmness and thickness we use for our poker table rails to provide a soft yet firm rail. It's soft enough to rest your arms and elbows on yet firm enough to not feel the plywood underneath. The rail foam is glued to the rail before it is wrapped in vinyl to make sure it doesn't move when being upholstered. Other foam thickness and firmness are available upon request.
Playing cloth
Our tables come standard with Ultra Soft Velveteen. This material is soft to the touch and is a great cloth for playing poker. Cards slide smoothly across the table and the material is long lasting. We glue the cloth to the playing surface foam to make sure that the cloth doesn't seperate from the table or get caught and bunch up when dragging in a pot of chips or cards. Alternatively, we use Suited Speed Cloth which is one of the best performing cloths for poker. Cards slide across the table very well and it is very durable. Suited speed cloth is also waterproof. Our playing cloths come in a variety of colors. Also available are Unsuited Speed Cloth and Nylon Velvet Speed Cloth. Please see the Playing Surface Cloth page for more information.
